Pysanky Egg Decoration

Saturday, April 310:00 AM—1:00 PMOff premise

Originating in Eastern Europe, the ancient egg art known as pysanky is also known as “Ukrainian Eggs”. Since early times, pysanky eggs have been decorated to welcome spring. In this class, Ruth will share her skills and teach us how to use hot beeswax applied with a kistky funnel to draw on the egg then with succession of colorful dyes, create a beautiful, one of a kind egg.

There is a materials fee paid on the day of the event to the presenter. $15.00 for your first egg, $20.00 if you would like to create two.

Due to the use of candles and hot wax, we do not recommend this class for children under 6. Children aged 6 - 9 may participate with an adult working as a team.

Please note this program will be held downstairs at the Sandown Town Hall, 320 Main Street, and has limited spaces. Registration opens on March 13th and will close at 9 pm on April 1, 2021.

Registration for this event has now closed.
