NH Humanities - That Reminds Me of a Story
Saturday, May 411:00 AM—12:00 PMOff premise
New England has a rich and ongoing storytelling tradition. Stories speak to us of our communities, hold our history and reflect our identity. Rebecca Rule, storyteller, author, host of NHPBS New Hampshire Authors Series as well as Our Hometown will join us today to present That Reminds Me of a Story. For the past 30 years, Rebecca has made it her life mission to collect stories of NH, especially those that reflect what is special about this rocky old place. Becky says, “ The Great thing about collecting stories is that they’re free and you don't have to dust them”. In this program she’ll tell some of her favorites and invite audience members to tell some of their own.
Please note, the event will be held at the Sandown Town Hall, 320 Main Street. Registration is requested, but there will be some extra seats available the day of the event.
This program is sponsored by a grant from the NH Humanities council. Learn more about the council and its work at www.nhhumanites.org
