Kids Kraft Program: Nature Art Inspired by Andy Goldsworthy
Join us for a unique and creative experience at the Sandown Town Forest! In this special edition of our Kids Kraft Program, we’ll be exploring the fascinating world of environmental art inspired by the renowned artist, Andy Goldsworthy. Known for his incredible sculptures made from natural materials, Goldsworthy’s work blends seamlessly with the environment, creating art that is both beautiful and ephemeral.
What to Expect:
Art Exploration: Learn about Andy Goldsworthy’s artistic style and his philosophy of working with nature.
Nature Walk: We’ll take a guided walk through the Sandown Town Forest, collecting natural materials like leaves, stones, and sticks to use in our own creations.
Art Creation: Using the materials we’ve gathered, we’ll work together to create a piece of environmental art, inspired by Goldsworthy’s techniques. Whether it’s a sculpture made of stacked
stones or a design created from leaves, each child will have the chance to contribute to a collaborative artwork.
Appreciation: We’ll take a moment to appreciate our creation and discuss the process of making art that exists in harmony with the natural world.
Registration: Registration is required, as spaces are limited. To sign up, please visit https://sandownlibrary.assabetinteractive.com/calendar/2024-september/
